So there’s this guy. He’s yellow and he likes his donuts. Once, he laughed at a gypsy woman and pissed her off. His luck was pretty rotten for awhile. (Simpsons episode)

Well, here’s my story. The first weekend in January, I ran a red light and hit an SUV. Luckily, no one was hurt. The SUV has some bumper damage and my car’s front is very smashed in. I didn’t have insurance at the time, so I’m paying for everything out of pocket. The following Monday, I broke the right temple off of my glasses and a few other crappy things happened (minor things but all on the same day. Universe, please give a girl a break).

Cory and I are looking for ways to save money, so this past weekend, we rented a U-Haul to clear out our storage unit. The U-Haul was parked outside our apartment and we were in the process of unloading things. I was standing in the back of the truck, when my foot slipped. I tried to catch myself but couldn’t in time. I ended up belly flopping onto the asphalt of the street. Luckily, I was able to bring both arms underneath my chin and save my face from being really scrapped up. I got up and cried in Cory’s arms for a long while. He just stood there hugging me, while I was bawling. I didn’t break any bones or hurt myself in any major way. There is a lonely bump and bruise on my chin though. My knees have some small bruises also.

The chin about 10 minutes after my fall.

The chin two days later, my face is wonky.

The chin and it’s beautiful bruises.

Cory’s been asking me repetitively, if I’ve angered some Gypsy women. I keep telling him, “No…” Well, at least, I don’t think I have

Cory & I inherited his Mom’s older laptops. I spent a good part of the day playing around with the ibook. I’m posting this entry from the WordPress add-on for Firefox. Hopefully, this will work. Happy 12th of January, everyone!
